Job Summary:

Our Technical Consultant position is part of our EU Operations Group, whose aim is to advance the business of arts and culture for current and prospective Tessitura members through onboarding and technical consulting projects that align their business with a holistic use of our technologies.

A successful technical consultant will provide excellent service to our members and ensure their needs are met, goals are attained, and satisfaction levels are exceeded. Member retention and growth are a main focus, along with identifying new consulting opportunities. Ideal candidates are those who can drive results and act as the bridge between business needs and technology capabilities. Critical to this role is the ability to influence members by articulating the value provided by recommended solutions. The senior technical consultant will also ensure all consulting standards are met across the technical consulting team.

The Technical Consultant works from home, is based in the EU and may be required to travel to member organisations. The role provides support and essential serviced to our growing community of licensees.

Technical Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Providing business analysis and technical expertise for the onboarding of Tessitura and related software at member organisations.
  • Providing assistance to Tessitura licensees for installing and upgrading the Tessitura application including the database, client files, SOAP and REST services and associated server components.
  • Providing consulting, training and technical expertise in the use of Tessitura and related software at member organisations.
  • Performing data mapping and conversions into Tessitura from multiple and varied data sources, ensuring that data integrity issues are identified and proactively addressed.
  • Creating integrations with Tessitura for third party software products as required by our licensees.
  • Creating customisations for the Tessitura Network Express Web application.
  • Perform installation and upgrade of TNEW plugins.
  • Creates technical documentation for member organisations.
  • Ensures that the company code repository standards are adhered too, and customisation assets are updated by all technical consultants.
  • Performs QA across other technical consultants’ code.
  • Ensures technical estimates are verified and projects delivered on time and within budget.
  • Enjoys working independently in a virtual environment, is self-sufficient with the ability to work on and prioritise a wide variety of complicated tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Willing and excited to travel to visit Tessitura member organisations.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Has strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, T-SQL and .NET C#.
  • Has the ability to work calmly, effectively and flexibly with a large number of clients/licensees, staff and other professionals representing a wide diversity of personalities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain the technical in non-technical terms.
  • Experience in delivery and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to set and meet timelines.
  • Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly.
  • Proficient with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Has great project management skills and can manage their own time efficiently with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and follow schedules.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Has experience in developing Tessitura Network Express Web (TNEW) customisations.
  • Has experience in developing HTML templates.
  • Depth of understanding of the business of arts and culture organisations and leading result‐oriented projects in a fast‐paced environment.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, relationship building, and presentation abilities.
