Role Description

VIP Nation provides VIP package solutions to, festivals and UK tours. The VIP Nation team works alongside the event organisers to develop VIP concepts and products to enhance the fan experience and generate revenue for the artist, festival or rightsholder.

The role of Ticketing & Marketing Manager sits within the Sales & Marketing function and reports to the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager. It is envisioned that in this role you will be focussing primarily on festival activity but also managing UK touring activity as required.  This role manages the ticketing sales as well as inventory and product set-up across allocated festivals and tours and is responsible for maximising package sales, revenue and customer experience through effective management of such inventory, across vendors in the UK. The role requires attendance at festivals to manage specific ticketing duties, accommodation allocation and where relevant, assisting the Event Manager.

You will need to possess exceptional numerical and organisational skills, be detail oriented, commercially driven and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

What the role includes

  • Advise on VIP festival and UK touring package proposals (with a focus on package contents wording).
  • Liaise with promoter’s ticketing department or third parties to manage ticket stock, including the negotiation of volumes and locations.
  • Manage end-to-end event ticketing for a variety of festivals & UK tours, including liaising with promoters and ticket agents, manifesting shows, managing allocations, maximising ticket sales and reconciling events.
  • Prepare materials for on-sale by obtaining and confirming tour/festival/event details including:
  • UK tour routing/event dates
  • Pre-sale/on-sale schedule including any fan club or sponsors exclusivity and requirements
  • Purchaser ticket limits and age restrictions
  • Face value price structure and scaling
  • Booking fees, rebates, type of ticket stock and associated text
  • Seating plans and locations
  • Request ticket holds and approve locations in all cities for all VIP packages
  • Complete set up forms, oversee ticket pricing charts for festivals & tours and check on correctness of all points of sale.
  • Administer events in EOS (our in-house event operating system), manage inventory and allocations including:
  • Collate sales data from Ticketmaster UK and other UK ticket vendors.
  • Distribute sales reports on agreed schedule to VIP Nation, LN Ticketing, Promoters, Agents, Artist Management & Partners.
  • Manage ticket holds for offline bookings made by Corporate Hospitality Sales Manager.
  • Review VIP package sales in line with general ticket sales (where known) and available lead time, proposing any mark-backs, bearing in mind that some packages require minimum numbers to operate.
  • Where tickets are not printed on Ticketmaster stock, create and manage a dispatch plan to ensure ticket proofs and stock are received on time for dispatch to customers.
  • Plan and execute the closing of event sale by:
  • Instructing ticket vendors to close sales
  • Sending instructions to promotional sites to list as off-sale/sold out
  • Obtain and report on final sales
  • Order customer lists for the Event Manager
  • Working with the Customer Experience Manager, analyse customer feedback and frequently asked questions, and proactively look for ways to improve the customer journey based on these observations.
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to maximise sales by moving inventory around products to maximise best sellers.
  • Ensure VIP online visibility to consumers across all ticket platforms using promo boxes, upsells and other methods.
  • Ensure VIP packages are available to purchase for all pre-sales and public on-sales, across multiple on-sale schedules, cities and time-zones.
  • Obtain official festival and tour visual assets, adapt and edit to fit our web and social media needs, gaining approval with artist management/agent.
  • Liaise with LN festival and tour marketing teams to agree weekly and monthly plans for marketing activity on VIP Nation packages.
  • Creating VIP Nation tour webpages, making sure any presale and on sale links are added, as well as to all relevant Live Nation & Artist websites and presale webpages.
  • Arrange upgrade links and emails to fans through ticket agents if necessary to sell remaining stock, arrange flash sales, etc.
  • Manage allocation of accommodation structures to customers at festivals.
  • Attend events, working onsite to manage specific ticketing duties, where relevant, including assisting the Event Manager.
