Ticketing System Project Manager (fixed term) | Job description

1. About Delfont Mackintosh Theatres

Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Ltd (DMT) is owned by Sir Cameron Mackintosh. DMT employs approximately 700 people and operates eight of the most prestigious theatres in London’s West End: the Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, Novello, Gielgud, Sondheim, Noël Coward, Wyndham’s and Victoria Palace. 2. About the role

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Ticketing, you will lead the successful project management, implementation and delivery of our new ticketing system. The role may be undertaken either as a fixed-term employee or, subject to your status, as a freelance contractor where we are the primary client for the duration of the project (c. 12 months).

3. Main Duties

  • Working closely with, and as the primary contact to, the supplier project manager, manage the day-to-day work of the project, scheduling tasks, resources and stakeholders and ensuring smooth and accurate flow of information.
  • Manage the requirements and views of all stakeholder groups, challenging opinions on configuration and delivery based on experience, seeking approval on key decisions and always ensuring the best outcomes for the project.
  • Report: daily to DMT delivery staff; weekly to the project management group; and monthly to the project steering group; managing and setting out progress, issues, budget and targets.
  • Own the project risk register, manage mitigations and other measures to reduce overall project risk.
  • Maintain and safeguard all documentation, records, filing systems and databases required to ensurecompliance with all internal policies, data protection, financial and other regulations relevant to their role.
  • Represent the company with diplomacy, discretion and courtesy at all times, safeguarding all confidentialinformation.
  • Maintain an awareness of DMT as part of the Cameron Mackintosh Ltd group of companies, comply with allDMT policies and undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the CEO.

4. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • experience of ticketing systems and principles, preferably gained in a West End theatre or agency
  • a proven track record of leadership and project management including multiple third party relationships;
  • significant experience delivering technological projects with complex interconnected systems, preferably withan ecommerce element;
  • a high level of computer literacy;
  • strong communication and people skills with the ability to motivate, persuade and encourage at all levels;
  • an exceptionally well organised style, excellent attention to detail and accuracy; and
  • a discreet, calm and tactful approach with the ability to work well under pressure.

5. Principal terms and conditions

Contract: Full time fixed term of c.12 months, or freelance.
Remuneration: negotiable, commensurate with the industry and dependent on experience. Full terms and conditions will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
