The Endeavor network specializes in talent representation, sports operations & advisory, event & experiences management, media production & distribution, experiential marketing and brand licensing.We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as a Vice President of Communications, with oversight of all consumer communications for On Location and IMG Events’ sports properties, exclusive of golf and tennis. In this influential role, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the communications strategy, playing a key role in amplifying the profile of On Location and IMG Events and their diverse portfolio of immersive consumer experiences in the sports industry. You must be enthusiastic, strategic, and results-driven with a strong background in public relations and completely plugged into the entertainment and lifestyle ecosystem. As the ideal candidate, you excel at leveraging your extensive network of industry contacts, including producers, writers, and talent bookers, to secure meaningful media placements and generate impactful coverage for our clients and brands. This role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, and a passion for sports.   • Create and implement effective consumer communication plans to support On Location and IMG Events’ owned and represented sports properties, including but not limited to: the Olympic Games, NFL, NCAA, and college football. Ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, partners, clients, and media outlets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align communications efforts and maximize impact across the organization.
  • Proactively engage with consumer media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage, drive sales, and enhance brand visibility. Manage media relationships, handle press inquiries, and coordinate media interviews and events.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content, including press releases, media kits, executive communications, articles, and social media content. Ensure messaging alignment and brand consistency across all communications channels.
  • Work closely with On Location and IMG Events’ marketing teams to align communications efforts with overall brand strategies. Develop key messaging and positioning for partnerships and initiatives.
  • Creatively ideate and execute media opportunities in the absence of talent or brand ambassadors that promote key events and experiences.
  • Deliver high-value placements about VIP experiences that drive awareness and conversion.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to drive excellence in sports communications.

You Have These

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, with a focus on sports-related industries.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the sports industry, including major events, tournaments, and leagues.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful sports communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and narratives.
  • Experience in crisis and issues management, with the ability to handle sensitive situations and media inquiries effectively.
  • Strong media relations skills and an extensive network of consumer media contacts.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively and identify innovative opportunities for brand positioning and thought leadership.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Passion for sports and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the sports industry.
