Eventbrite links up with Bandsintown

Ticketing and technology platform Eventbrite has struck a partnership with Bandsintown, the concert-searching mobile application.

The first phase of the deal has gone live, marking the first integration of Bandsintown’s advertising solution platform, Bandsintown Promoter, into a third-party platform, allowing shows to be promoted to Bandsintown fans from within the Eventbrite platform.

Phase two, launching early next year, will feature ‘distributed commerce’ integration, enabling discovery and end-to-end purchase of Eventbrite shows without fans having to leave Bandsintown.

“Concerts and live music experiences have always been an incredibly important part of Eventbrite, and this new partnership with Bandsintown provides our organisers with a super-targeted, direct connection to the most passionate of music fans,” Eventbrite chief executive and co-founder Julia Hartz said.

“We’re proud to continue innovating with a best-in-class music partner to create exciting new products that ultimately get more concert-goers to the shows they love.”

Bandsintown managing partner Fabrice Sergent added: “Over 50 per cent of our concert-goers frequently go to see artists they had never heard of before they discovered them on Bandsintown. This makes Bandsintown a fertile discovery ground for Eventbrite’s event creators.”

Bandsintown has more than 30 million registered concert-goers and more than 400,000 artists connected to the platform.
