British singer Ed Sheeran has broken the record attendance at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Some 72,102 guests attended the concert on Saturday, which is the all-time record for the venue.

The night before the US Bank Stadium, Sheeran played at the State Theatre. The two dates represent the first time since 2018 that the singer has played in the state of Minnesota.

The performances were part of Sheeran’s ongoing +–=÷x Tour, or the Mathematics Tour, which kicked off in April 2022.

It is set to come to an end in California in September 2023.

US Bank Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, has a seating capacity of roughly 67,000 for most sporting matches, but can be expanded to 73,000 for concerts and special events.

Sheeran’s previous ÷ (Divide) Tour is the second highest grossing stint on the Billboard Boxscore chart, reaching $776m (£610m/€709m) with 8.9 million attending across 258 shows.
