England Rugby has extended its partnership with Tixserve after agreeing a new four-year contract to support its digital transformation.

The Ireland-headquartered digital ticketing delivery platform has worked with England Rugby since 2019, and since then almost two million digital tickets have been delivered to fans to attend matches at the 82,000-capacity Twickenham Stadium.

Aside from ticket delivery and forwarding, England Rugby has benefited from insights into ticket-holders and tailored messaging opportunities to boost guests’ matchday experience.

“Tixserve has become an integral part of not only the supporters’ match-day experience but also our own digital and data strategy internally. The insight on who’s attending matches is invaluable to us and our sponsors. Also of equal importance is the feedback we get from Twickenham Stadium app users, which has been extremely positive, so we know our supporters are pleased with it too,” said Steve Kitcher, Rugby Football Union’s head of ticketing.

Patrick Kirby, Tixserve’s managing director, added: “England Rugby is one of the most prestigious brands in sport and in 2019 pioneered the digital transformation of ticketing in conjunction with Tixserve. We are immensely proud of our collaborative business relationship with the RFU that has resulted in the evolution of our platform to be a market-leader in the provision of proven and scalable mobile distribution and engagement services.

“Tixserve continues to invest in product innovation, and we look forward to rolling out the next generation of our solution for England Rugby and our other blue-chip clients over the coming months.”

Tixserve is also partnered with Scottish Rugby and the Welsh Rugby Union.
