London 2017 in dash for sell out

More than 100,000 tickets for the London 2017 IAAF World Championships, which remained available following an initial ballot, went on general sale earlier today (Wednesday).

Organisers said that around 80 per cent of tickets have already been sold.

The sale includes tickets for the men’s 100m final, which could be the last appearance of Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt (pictured) in a major athletics championship.

Tickets on sale include those not purchased in the initial ballot, as well as tickets put back for sale due to failed customer payments.
The Championships are scheduled to take place between August 4 and 13, 2017 at London Stadium.

"We are delighted to release the remaining tickets for the IAAF World Championships London 2017 to general sale," said Niels de Vos, the Championship's director.

"More than half a million tickets have already been sold for the Championships but we’re determined to make it a complete sell-out.”
