Vikings sell out for entire NFL season

The Minnesota Vikings has created a waiting list for tickets after its new U.S. Bank Stadium sold out for the entire 2016 NFL football season.

The franchise said that of the $1.1bn (£830m/€970m) stadium’s final 2016 capacity of 66,655, more than 60,400 seats are committed for the entire season with the remaining single-game seats also sold out.

The ticket and suite wait list has been formed so that fans can obtain any returns from visiting teams.

“This is a testament to the passion of our fans and tremendous support of the Vikings,” said Vikings owner and president Mark Wilf. “The excitement for this team combined with the overwhelming response to U.S. Bank Stadium is incredible. We cannot wait to create the best home field advantage in the NFL.”
