Ticketmaster strengthens college sports portfolio with Oregon deal

Ticketmaster has again emphasised its commitment to North American college sports by agreeing a partnership with another major Pac 12 university.

The University of Oregon (UO) is to employ Ticketmaster as its official ticketing partner and joins the 17 schools that have extended their deals with Ticketmaster College Division during 2016.

UO, whose football team regularly attracts sell-out crowds at their 59,000-seat Autzen Stadium, will employ Ticketmaster’s product offerings and resources, including solutions for multichannel marketing, data analytics and sales monitoring, market pricing and internal communications, across their sports programme.

“Ticketmaster is proud to partner with such storied athletic programmes at institutions like the University of Oregon,” said Janeen Lalik, senior vice-president (college athletics) for Ticketmaster North America.

“Ticketmaster’s collegiate partnerships are an integral component of our overall sports business as we continue to bolster our existing and new client relationships to help provide a great fan experience.”

UO joins University of Florida, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, Tennessee St. and Butler University as partners of Ticketmaster.

As well as ticketing and marketing resources, Ticketmaster has also been charged by UO with creating an improved fan experience through a more visually appealing and branded site in addition to enhancing the functionality and user experience for ticket holders, donors and students.

“At the University of Oregon, we are always searching for any enhancement that will benefit the fan experience,” said Craig Pintens, senior associate athletic director of marketing and public relations for UO. “With Ticketmaster’s demonstration and commitment to integrating innovative vendors, we will be able to continue to push the best solutions for our fans.”

“We entered our selection process with an open mind. As we compared our options in the market place, it was clear to us that Ticketmaster had the most comprehensive platform for our fans.

“Our relationship will enable our staff to operate at a higher level and assist in filling up our venues for our student-athletes.”
