Premier League stadia running at 95% capacity

 

Premier League football grounds were 95 per cent full during the first 10 rounds of games of the 2016-17 season.

A report by InsideWorldFootball found that a total of 3.54 million seats were filled out of a possible 3.72 million, with 166,000 left empty during the 100 games played so far.

Week 10 actually saw the fewest filled seats so far this season, with the 10 home stadia at 94-per-cent capacity. Week two was the most successful week for clubs as 96 per cent of tickets were sold.

During Week 10, Manchester United sold 99.5 per cent of its tickets, the highest figure in the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur, in second place, filled 99.2 per cent of its reduced capacity of 32,133, and had just 265 empty seats for the visit of Leicester City.

West Bromwich Albion was bottom of the list during Week 10, with just 83.7 per cent of seats filled.
