TicketWeb adds 1m new tickets through major deals

TicketWeb has added around one million new potential ticket sales to its platform after a series of deals with independent venues across North America.

The Ticketmaster subsidiary, which is focused on the independent sector, will add 31 new locations to its portfolio thanks to agreements with operators and clubs including Levity Entertainment Group (LEG) in Los Angeles, The Improv Group in Florida and Blue Note clubs in Hawaii and Napa.

TicketWeb has also renewed existing, multi-year contracts with a number of organisations, such as Knitting Factory, which operates popular nightclubs across the US.

“Our focus at TicketWeb is to build solutions that put time back in the day of the busy club owner and independent promoter,” said Matt Shearer, TicketWeb’s senior vice-president of small venues and clubs. “We partner with some of the most iconic clubs across North America and globally so we’re constantly developing new ticketing technology geared towards meeting their specific needs and providing greater access to our millions of active ticket buyers.”

TicketWeb’s portfolio within the small club space has consistently grown by double digits over the past four years. It said that its series of new partnerships “further cements its position as the global leader in ticketing for independent venues and promoters”.

LEG, which is the largest comedy organisation in the US and operates 17 venues, said their deal recognises the strength of TicketWeb’s self-service online marketing and ticketing platform combined with Ticketmaster’s distribution network.
