Ticketing software specialist TopTix has appointed Robin Hanson as its new director of technology.

In his new role, Hanson will oversee all technologies in the Americas region, including product configuration and integration, database conversions and website development for client implementations, as well as client hosting services.

Hanson has served in a variety of roles at organisations such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Fannie Mae, New Mexico State University and COMSYS Information Technologies.

The company said the addition of Hanson will be central to managing its growth trajectory in the region, and in continuing to deliver the company’s high standards of client service.

“I’m delighted to have Robin join our team and look forward to his contributions,” said Rick Solano, TopTix Americas' vice-president of operations. “His in-depth experience with web based workflows, applications and integrations, along with his ability to build solid team and client relationships is a great asset.”

TopTix's flagship platform SRO (Standing Room Only) supports more than 500 institutions, processing 80 million tickets a year. Its client base includes cultural attractions such as the J. Paul Getty Museum, Ravinia Festival and English National Opera, as well as English Premier League football club West Bromwich Albion.

Speaking about his new role, Hanson said: “It’s exciting to work on such a flexible, dynamic software platform (SRO4) and with a top notch engineering team. The pace of innovation with new system services and enhancements is impressive. I’m really excited to be here.”
