Madonna, the best-selling female solo touring artist of all time, is set to go on a global tour that could surpass her own touring record.
The singer announced ‘Madonna: The Celebration Tour’ yesterday (Tuesday), which will feature her catalogue of music from the past four decades.
Produced by entertainment giant Live Nation, the 35-stop tour will begin at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on July 15. Further stops include Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and more before heading over to Europe.
Madonna will then play shows in 11 European cities including London, Barcelona, Paris and Stockholm among others.
The Celebration Tour will then finish with a show at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on December 1.
Madonna said: “I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for.”
A major moment for representation, the tour will also feature a one-of-a-kind experience at each stop with special guest, Bob the Drag Queen.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 20 and Friday January 27, while Citi card members will have access to pre-sale tickets for the shows going on sale January 20, from January 17-19 through the Citi Entertainment programme. Those wanting to purchase tickets for the shows going on sale January 27 will have pre-sale access from January 24 until January 26.
Legacy members of Madonna’s Official Fan Club will have pre-sale opportunities for the shows going on sale on January 20 from January 17 at 12pm ET until January 18 at 5pm ET for North American shows, while those looking to purchase tickets for UK and European shows will have access between 9am GMT/10am CET and 5pm GMT/6pm CET on January 18.
An additional Legacy pre-sale for the North America shows going on sale January 27 will be available from January 23-25.
Fans will also be able to purchase VIP packages, which may include premium tickets, exclusive access to a behind the scenes tour, group photo on stage, pre-show reception, limited edition lithograph and more.
