Newly rebranded ShowPlanr targets expansion

Promoter and producer MRC Presents has rebranded as ShowPlanr, following the amalgamation of the founder’s live touring, open-air concerts and cinema business with the consumer marketing and ticketing activities. 

ShowPlanr works with theatres, concert halls, arenas and open-air venues across the UK and Ireland, producing and promoting live experiences.

“I’m delighted to bring together all that we do under the ShowPlanr brand,” said founder Chris Jenkins. “The team and I are very proud of what we’ve achieved up to now and we’re super excited about the future as we strive to elevate the population’s happiness through live experiences.”

ShowPlanr is also aiming to expand its UK live touring business with a number of new in-house productions and co-promotions in 2024, alongside further development of Open Air Concerts and Open Air Cinema, which it launched this year.

Not only this, but record-high ticket sales in the UK have prompted expansion efforts in Europe, Australia and North America.

Touring shows scheduled for next year include Rhythm of the Dance, Killer Queen, Dreamboys, Michael Starring Ben, Psychic Sally, ELO Again, Bowie Experience, Beyond the Barricade, Daniel O’Donnell, Waterloo A Tribute to Abba, and the new Tiny Dancer – The Music of Elton John.
