Rangers urges fans to use resale scheme to boost Christmas attendances

Scottish Premiership team Rangers is promoting its ticket buyback scheme in a bid to ensure bumper crowds at its Ibrox home stadium over the Christmas period.

The club, which is back in Scotland's top division for the first time in four years, wants to make sure there will be a full house for the games against Hearts and Aberdeen in December.

Ticket holders who cannot attend the games can release their seats by calling the club or clicking on an online link. Should their tickets for the Aberdeen or Hearts games be successfully resold they will receive a credit of up to £15 against season tickets for 2017-18. Fans who release tickets for the visit of Glasgow rivals Celtic will receive a credit of £30 should a resale take place, with all other league games worth £10.

A club spokesperson said: “The upcoming games against Hearts and Aberdeen in December are expected to be a sell out and we want to make sure if you can’t make it to the game someone else can go in your place to get behind the manager and the team.”
