Royals secure new secondary ticketing partner

The Kansas City Royals North American Major League Baseball franchise has signed a secondary ticketing partnership with a joint venture featuring Tickets For Less and DTI Management.

According to the BizJournals.com website, the combined DTI Affiliated Retail Outlet Program entity will provide streamlined ticket distribution services with a local knowledge of the sports market. That knowledge will be provided by Tickets For Less, which is based in nearby Overland Park.

DTI is already a partner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns NBA basketball franchises, as well as the New Jersey Devils NHL ice hockey team. DTI also supplies ticket inventory to secondary providers, such as StubHub, Ticketmaster and Vivid Seats.

“We are delighted to join with DTI as their first affiliated retailer, which we believe will be a home run for Royals fans and our loyal customers,” Tickets For Less president Dan Rouen said.

“We have a reliable supply of tickets for the Royals and other teams, and the additional resources will allow us to continue to provide our customers with the best service and ticket prices in Kansas City.”

The Royals’ vice-president of marketing and business development, Michael Bucek, added: “Their ticket distribution platform and inventory management technology will increase efficiency and streamline our ticket resale market.”
