The AFL Australian rules football league has said that more than 40,000 tickets have already been sold for the first finals derby between the Sydney Swans and Greater Western Sydney at the ANZ Stadium on September 10.
The league also said that a total of 52,100 tickets have been sold for the match between Geelong and Hawthorn at the MCG on September 9.
Supporters have also snapped up 39,800 tickets for the September 8 clash between West Coast and the Western Bulldogs at Domain Stadium.
In addition, the AFL said the first elimination final between Adelaide and North Melbourne on Saturday 10 is on track to be a sell-out, with 40,600 tickets already sold for the event.
