Red Bull Arena to launch mobile-only ticketing

The New York Red Bulls has announced Red Bull Arena will move to a mobile-only ticketing model as part of plans to enhance the fan experience ahead of the 2019 season.

The initiative will seek to provide guests with a safe and convenient ticketing experience and increase protection against fraud.

Fans who are Red Members will be given a digital Member Card, which will be accessible through the Red Bulls mobile app in the coming weeks.

Red Bull Arena is also set to be a “predominantly cashless environment” this year as the Red Bulls seek to create a faster customer experience at concession and merchandise stands, portables and the club’s official team store.

Credit cards, mobile phones and all other stored payments will be accepted, although select stands will still accept cash transactions. The new transactional units will also be 100 per cent customer-facing, ensuring the credit card or mobile phone in use need not leave the customer’s hand.

“Our club’s ongoing commitment toward the loyal fans and partners continues to be our highest priority,” said Marc de Grandpre, general manager for the Red Bulls, said. “We strive to create a convenient, safe and memorable experience for everyone who steps foot into Red Bull Arena.”
