Johan Cruyff ArenA seeks fan experience solutions

Amsterdam’s Johan Cruyff ArenA, home of Dutch Eredivisie football club Ajax, has launched an innovation challenge called ‘Change the Game’ for ticketing, in-stadium tech and other fan experience solutions.

The stadium will work with its partners to develop innovative services for its visitors, aiming to “optimise and intensify the experience” for fans.

Start-ups, scale-ups, small- and medium-sized enterprises, and organisations with a commercial and technical proof of concept are invited to take part.

The 30 chosen concepts will be tested and implemented in the stadium, and will receive support with scaling worldwide.

Solutions could be in the form of customised information about an event, ticket sales, creating a seamless journey to and in the stadium, and activities before and after the event.

A release from the Johan Cruyff ArenA said: “Develop your solution in the Johan Cruijff ArenA with access to innovative facilities, our well established and organised datalake, and advanced wireless and connected communication facilities including a testbed for exploring 5G connectivity.”

Teams will also have access to support from relevant partners to help deliver and further develop solutions for 90 days. They will also receive resources such as technology, consulting and finance support, as well as increased publicity.

Companies and teams can submit their solutions until the end of March 2019 on www.changethegame.eu.
