StubHub rolls out developer programme

StubHub has introduced a new developer programme, providing third party developers with a completely new set of APIs.

The programme allows developers and sellers to integrate with StubHub, as well as giving them the ability to onboard and price their inventory with ease.

“This is a big step in StubHub’s quest to become the events and tickets industry operating system,” said Satish Nair, senior director of business-to-business technology at StubHub. “We are making it easier than ever before for developers to rapidly integrate their applications with StubHub.”

In addition to software developers, StubHub is integrated with a wide range of ticket distribution partners globally such as CBS Sports, Groupon, and Marriott to allow fans visiting those sites access to StubHub events.

Features of the programme include faster onboarding via a new process for registration, creating API tokens, tiers, and subscriptions, and accelerating the partner onboarding process from approximately one month to less than 24 hours.

It also offers an API product catalogue in one centralised location with the latest documentation, sample code and reporting metrics.

StubHub relied on Google Cloud Platform and Apigee technology to transform its developer experience.

“We successfully migrated to the new StubHub listing & predelivery APIs, along with other 1Ticket clients,” said Lee Shenker, president of DTI Management, a firm that uses software to assist ticket sellers and intellectual property owners in maximising distribution and ticketing revenue. “As a result, integration is dramatically more efficient, and we appreciated being among the first sellers to work with StubHub to offer our feedback on the most important customer use cases and needs.”
