Fleabag’s final theatre run to void secondary tickets

The West End’s Wyndham Theatre has warned fans that resold Fleabag tickets will not be accepted after Viagogo was found to be listing Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s final theatre run of the show for £600 (€691/$775).

Fans expressed their anger on social media after prices for the one-woman show shot up to more than eight times their face value of £68 on secondary markets.

Waller-Bridge, who created and starred in Fleabag for the theatre, and recently adapted it into a hit TV show, will perform in her final theatre run in the West End from August 20 to September 14, following a sold-out run on Broadway.

One fan tweeted: “How can you allow Fleabag tickets to resale at up to 8 times the face value?

“The ticket selling industry is a joke. I never have any trust that I’ll get to see artists/performers I love because of sites like yours and prices like these.”

In a statement, the venue said: “Tickets for FLEABAG are only available from Delfont Mackintosh Theatres or Soho Theatre.

“Please be cautious buying tickets from any other outlet as they will become void and you may be refused entry to, or ejected from the theatre.”
