Coldplay has teamed up with YouTube to livestream a pair of concerts in Jordan as part of the launch of its new album, Everyday Life.

The two performances are scheduled for November 22, the same day as the album launch, and will mirror the two halves of the double-album.

The Sunrise concert, which represents the first side of the album, will begin at 4am GMT, with the Sunset concert following at 2pm GMT in Amman, the band’s first event performance in Jordan.

Coldplay said: “These two broadcasts have been our dream since we first started work on this album. It’s a bit impossible and a bit scary, like all the best dreams. YouTube is the perfect home for it.”

The live performances were announced via a surreal press conference starring comedians Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen.
