Yankees bring in Broadway Inbound to promote advance booking

The New York Yankees has teamed up with ticketing firm Broadway Inbound to support travel agents in booking advance tickets for fans to see the Major League Baseball club.

Broadway Inbound is the ticketing home for group buyers, tour operators, and the travel industry, and is built on The Shubert Organisation’s more than 100 years of theatrical and technological innovation.

Travel professionals will be given the resources they need to make Yankees tickets available and promote games to their clients with BI Pro.

“We are thrilled to now offer tickets to the iconic New York Yankees to all of our travel agents, tour operators, OTAs and related distribution partners,” said Bob Hofmann, vice-president of Broadway Inbound.

“We look forward to expanding our relationships with New York City’s sports teams, as we grow Broadway Inbound into the go-to resource for all New York City experiences.”

The Yankees attendances have hit more than three million in each of the last 21 seasons, the longest streak of any professional sports team in the world. In 2019, Yankee Stadium welcomed 3.3 million fans through its gates, although this was a slight decrease on 2018’s numbers when 3.5 million spectators attended.

In 2019, the MLB club ranked third in overall attendances with an average of 41,827 fans at each game at its 54,251-capacity ballpark.

Marty Greenspun, Yankees senior vice president of strategic ventures, added: “Attending a game at Yankee Stadium is a quintessential New York City experience, and we have always taken great pride in welcoming guests from around the United States and the world.

“Our partnership with Broadway Inbound allows us to reach travelers as they plan their trip, providing them with improved access to desired Yankees game dates, seating locations and amenities. We look forward to the positive impact this relationship will have on both industry operators and individual vacationers.”
