People on the move: Nets, Tessitura & more

John Abbamondi, previously head of ticketing at Madison Square Garden Company (MSGC), is set to become the new team president of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets.

Abbamondi spent four years as executive vice president of ticketing, suites and hospitality at MSG (MSGC), which runs the famous New York sports and concert venue. He left the position in January and, according to multiple reports, will now replace the departed David Levy in charge of the Nets.

Abbamondi previously held the role of NBA’s senior vice president, team marketing and business operations.

Andrew Recinos is to replace Jack Rubin as chief executive of Tessitura Network from the start of January 2021. Recinos will retain the title of president he has held since 2017, and assume Rubin’s role at the supplier, whose CRM system powers ticketing and other services at cultural attractions. Anne-Maree Moon has been named general manager, tourism at Brisbane Economic Development Agency. Moon has previously held a series of senior roles in the Australian events sector, including a nine-year spell as director of marketing and ticketing at Queensland Performing Arts Centre from 2001-2010.

David Mansfield has become head of programming at Dubai Opera, the prominent performing arts theatre in the Middle East region. Mansfield was general manager of Ipswich Regent Theatre from 2008 to 2014 before becoming venue director at Watford Colosseum. From 2017 to 2020 he was director at HQ Theatres and Hospitality, the regional theatre, concert hall and hospitality operator.
