Ticketing platform Billetto integrates Facebook Events API

European online ticketing platform Billetto has integrated Facebook Official Events API into its website, helping event organisers boost awareness of their events.

The ticketing firm has teamed up with the social media giant, its biggest source of traffic, to build an ‘Add to Facebook’ feature that allows organisers to share events from its website straight to Facebook Events.

Under the partnership, organisers will now be prompted to share the event on their respective Facebook page after adding online and in-person event listings to Billetto’s website.

Event organisers first need to authenticate and connect their Facebook page with the ticketing website, and then they can add events to Facebook. The ‘Add to Facebook’ feature makes it “faster and more efficient” for organisers to promote their event on social media.

Patrick Borre, founder and chief executive of Billetto, said: “The Facebook Official Events API helps our event organisers save time when listing multiple events on our website.

“The integration process was straightforward, with event documentation taking only a few days to get in order. The organisers now know the importance of promoting events using a variety of tools.”

Facebook has also integrated its Events API with other ticketing firms including Humanitix, Eventbrite and Ticketmaster.
