The Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC2021) in England has unveiled its ticketing timeline today (Monday) with organisers issuing a COVID-19 ticket refund guarantee.

Ticket buyers will be able to gain a refund should there be restrictions on crowds at the event or if the tournament has to be cancelled due to pandemic-related restrictions.

The tournament, which is scheduled to be held between October 23 and November 27 this year, is reopening its final priority access window with the ‘rugby league family’ tomorrow. The five-day window opens on March 30 and ends on April 4.

Fans that spend over £100 in a single transaction during the window will be rewarded with 21 chances to win their money back. In addition, all those who buy during the five-day period will receive a limited-edition RLWC2021 wall planner.

Those who are eligible for priority access include RLWC2021’s database of fans, previous ticket buying customers, associated partners and hosts. Fans can still sign up to be part of the final priority access.

General admission for the tournament, which is being held across 21 venues in England, including Old Trafford, Anfield, St James’ Park and Emirates Stadium, will open to the wider public on April 6.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets for all 61 matches until June 1, where tickets will go off sale for a three-week period until June 21 for seat assignment.

Jon Dutton, chief executive of RLWC2021, said: “It’s another positive moment on our journey to deliver the biggest and best ever Rugby League World Cup later this year by revealing our ticketing timeline.

“We remain extremely hopeful and optimistic that the tournament will go ahead as planned although we remain realistic about the challenges that still lie ahead, not least international travel and quarantine. We would like to thank Secretary of State, Oliver Dowden, and the Government for their continued support.

“In addition, we thank the rugby league family and the enormous number of people who have purchased tickets during such uncertain times over the past few months.”

RLWC2021 premium seats and hospitality experiences are also still available, after going on sale in September.

Fans can also secure their ticket through booking their Squad Trip including accommodation and experiences.
