AEG Presents in decade-long deal with Ohio venue

Live entertainment company AEG Presents has secured a 10-year operating and booking deal with venue Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland in the US.

AEG has also committed to restoring and renovating the covered, outdoor amphitheatre and the agreement will begin in spring 2022. 

Jacobs Pavilion has also signed a deal with digital ticketing and marketing platform AXS for its ticketing arrangements, which will begin next year. 

President of AEG Presents Rick Mueller said: “The midwest has always been synonymous with an incredible live music scene, and Jacobs Pavilion is an important part of it. 

“We’re thrilled to be able to expand our presence in on of America’s great music cities, while also working with Jacobs Entertainment to bring an even greater experience for fans and artists.” 

The Ohio venue opened in 1987 and has hosted acts such as Ringo Starr, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and The Ramones. It is situated on the banks of the Cuyahoga River (pictured) and has a capacity of 5,000.

Patrick McKinley, regional vice president of Jacobs Entertainment, added: “We are excited to welcome AEG Presents to Jacobs Pavilion and look forward to working with them over the next decade to enhance and expand the concert experience for north east Ohio’s many live music fans.”
