We round up the latest appointments in the ticketing industry…
Venue and event management company ASM Global has appointed Dr. Debbie Kristiansen (pictured) as general manager of the new Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The venue is due to open in 2022.
Dr Kristiansen has lived and worked in the Middle East for the last 16 years.
ASM Global APAC & Gulf region chairman and chief executive Harvey Lister said: “Debbie has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry and her leadership skills will bring many unique qualities to the role.
“Her appointment will help consolidate ASM Global’s reputation in the region as the world’s leading producer of event experiences and enhance Bahrain’s standing as an international meetings destination.”
Caroline Buckland has been made the head of global fan engagement at Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology. She joins the Formula 1 team from Premier League football side Chelsea.
She wrote on LinkedIn: “I’ve loved my time at this fantastic club, and I’m very grateful to all the talented people I’ve met and had the pleasure of working with along the way for making it so special.
“I’m extremely proud to have been part of some unforgettable moments in Chelsea’s history, but now am very much looking forward to what the next chapter brings…”
Elsewhere and Diogo Lourenço has left Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion as its ticketing operations assistant to become executive director of Portuguese club Sport Club Vianese.
He will also be the account executive for Sports Alliance, a data-driven supporter marketing company.
Meanwhile, Fraser Johnston has been promoted to interim head of group ticketing and customer engagement for Scottish Rugby.
Johnston has been with the Scottish Rugby Union for over 13 years, having been the assistant ticket services manager, ticketing operations manager, and assistant head of ticketing.
Courtney Hollier has started a new role as UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 ticketing operations coordinator with The Football Association.
Before joining the FA, Hollier was the ticketing manager for English Football League team Portsmouth Football Club.
Previously, Hollier held numerous roles in ticketing at Premier League club West Ham United. Positions include match day ticket office representative, ticket office representative and match day ticket office supervisor.
Massimo Morabito has become the technical manager at Italian Serie C club AC Renate, which is based in Lombardy.
Over at TixTrack and Eddie Lee has started a new role at client development manager. Previously, Lee has been the partnership development manager for PatronBase and a ticketing consultant for the Assembly Hall Theatre.
He wrote on LinkedIn: “Very excited to be joining TixTrack today as client development manger. Working across the UK and Ireland promoting the Nliven ticketing product.”
Mari Hatakka has become the manager of event and cultural services, head of the service area at Espoon Kaupunki – Esbo stad – City of Espoo.
Hatakka has also been the sales director for culture and live entertainment for Lippupiste as well as the development manager. Lippupiste is part of the CTS Eventim AG ticketing and live entertainment company.
Elsewhere and David Stevenson has joined Realife Tech as the senior business development manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Stevenson has also been the head of business development and a sports and media lead for digital agency Apadmi.
He wrote: “Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to congratulate me on my new role at Realife Tech. I am delighted to join on of the fastest growing tech companies in the Sports and Entertainment sector.”
Oak View Group has made Steven J. Fraser president for the Coachella Valley Arena. He will also be the strategic business leader for an American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate – to be named – for National Hockey League team Seattle Kraken.
Live Nation has announced Fabiana Kulick has joined the concerts’ talent and touring team, and the marketing team as its new head of Latin marketing.
Kulick will lead the marketing for Live Nation Latin tours and boasts almost two decades of experience in Latin music marketing.
Omar Al-joulani, head of talent and touring at Live Nation Concerts, said: “As we continue to see the incredible rise of Latin music and touring to the forefront of mainstream culture, it is more important than ever that our Latin team continues to grow with and reflect the music and artists we are putting out on the road.”
