TicketCo launches in the US

Integrated streaming and event payment platform TicketCo is launching in the US as it continues its global expansion.

TicketCo already has a presence in Norway, the UK, Poland and Sweden. It will also target Germany and the Netherlands as part of its European expansion plans.

The company has already appointed Lauren Pye (pictured), who is a former vice president of sales and marketing at Ticketmaster, to lead the new team in the US.

Kaare Bottolfsen, TicketCo chief executive, said: “This is an exciting milestone in our rapid growth story. The U.S. has a strong event industry and we’re already making great progress there. We believe we have designed the perfect hybrid event sales and streaming platform for organisers and that it will be embraced by more territories.”

Pye, vice president of sales, added: “TicketCo is exactly what the US events industry needs and hasn’t been offered yet. It’s a game changer, I’ve not seen another company offer ticketing, live streaming, and video on demand, seamlessly built into one platform.

“They all bring in integrations and outside partners to fill in their gaps. TicketCo has experienced great success in Europe as a disruptor and I’m looking forward to delivering the same impact in the US.”

TicketCo has added the North American Rugby League as its first US-based client in a multi-year deal to provide clubs with ticketing and streaming. In the UK, TicketCo’s partners include London’s Southbank Centre, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Wise Children, RFU Championship club Bedford Blues and Scottish Championship football club Kilmarnock.

North American Rugby League CEO Robert Curtis added: “TicketCo is exactly the organiser-focused, all-in-one solution NA Rugby and our clubs need to easily sell and engage with our growing fan base.”
