The National Basketball Association (NBA)’s Phoenix Suns has partnered with Verb Technology Company to drive ticket and merchandise sales.
Verb provides interactive video-based sales enablement applications, such as shoppable live streams.
The collaboration means the Suns will be able to utilise Verb’s suite of solutions to drive ticket and merchandise sales while also engaging with fans through interactive content.
Tramon Thomas, Phoenix Suns vice-president of brand digital and social, said: “The implementation of Verb’s video-based software solutions should help us continue to grow and future proof our marketing technology stack, supporting elevation of our content strategies for ticket sales, merchandise sales, and overall brand awareness.
“This technology will also be a significant addition to the Suns’ new digital strategy, which will capitalise on interactive digital content and strengthen our digital assets to reach fans and supporters. We look forward to advancing our digital redesign initiatives with Verb’s leading-edge interactive video technology.”
Rory J. Cutaia, chief executive of Verb, added: “We are thrilled to sign a partnership with the Suns, a team that not only shines on the basketball court but also with their vision to deploy powerful digital technology tools to increase sales and engage their fans.
“Seeing solid growth in our sports entertainment vertical reflects the strong and broad use case applications for our video-based solutions across various businesses and industries to accelerate sales growth and further engage with customers, clients, and fans who are rapidly adopting video as a form of communication and effective interaction.
“We see great things ahead from our partnership with the Suns and look forward to further expanding our presence in the NBA and other professional sports leagues.”
