German racetrack and event venue Hockenheimring has named Vivenu as its exclusive ticketing partner.

The racetrack, which has 120,000 spectator seats and attracts approximately 700,000 visitors annually, hosts major motorsports events as well as concerts and festivals.

Hockenheimring said the deployment of a flexible, scalable, and secure solution will allow for the simplification of ticketing for its range of events, tours, and driving experiences.

“Our primary focus is to offer customers a comfortable, modern, and secure platform for ticket purchases that allows us to be flexible and responsive to changing market conditions and customer needs,” said Jorn Teske, managing director of Hockenheim-Ring GmbH.

“The expertise and innovation power, but above all the motivation and enthusiasm of the vivenu team, have convinced us. With this partnership, we will achieve a new quality standard in our ticketing, which will bring not only higher customer satisfaction but also positive economic effects.”

Hockenheimring’s new ticket shop will go online at the beginning of next year.

Simon Weber, co-founder of Vivenu, said: “We are extremely excited about the partnership with the Hockenheimring and are thrilled to see how the Hockenheimring combines tradition and technological progress.

“Ticketing is one of the most important aspects and main sources of revenue for any event venue, and we are proud to contribute significantly to the economic success of the Hockenheimring with our technology.”

Last month, Download Germany 2023, due to be held at Hocknheimring, was cancelled with Live Nation GSA (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) officials blaming production challenges created by this summer’s busy festival market.
