WWE returned to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena earlier this week for a sold-out WWE Monday Night Raw.

The wrestling event welcomed more than 13,000 fans to 16,888-capacity arena for the first time in more than four years.

Prior to the event, State Farm Arena executive vice-president of arena programming, Trey Feazell presented WWE star and Marietta native Cody Rhodes with a custom Atlanta Hawks jersey to commemorate the sold-out event.

WWE has enjoyed continued success worldwide recently, with a number of sold-out and record events.

Earlier this year, WWE revealed that WrestleMania 39 had become the most successful and highest-grossing event in the entertainment company’s history.

The two-night event at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles was sold-out and set new records for viewership, gate, sponsorship, merchandise and social media.

Earlier this month, WWE also announced that WWE Money in the Bank, which took place at The O2 in London, was the most successful version of the event of all time. Along with Friday Night Smack Down, the entire weekend generated a combined gate of more than $5.4m (£4.7m/€6.2m) and was attended by almost 19,000 people.
