A young disabled woman, Silvia Stoyanova, has launched a petition to increase wheelchair access for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop at Milan’s San Siro stadium in Italy.

Stoyanova was informed by organisers after purchasing a ticket for a reported €300 (£256/$326) in the front section of the venue that another area had been designated for wheelchair access. These seats were further away from the stage and already sold out.

The petition on Change.org has already garnered more than 35,000 signatures at the time of writing. Stoyanova also appealed to Italy’s Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli, to raise awareness of access at concerts.

Promoters for Swift’s Eras Tour in Italy, Mimmo D’Elssandro and Adolfo Galli, have told the Italian press that seats at San Siro with wheelchair access are only situated in the lateral orange section of the stadium.

Stoyanova highlighted the issue in a video on TikTok, and said: “We ask to go to the event, if we have a ticket…we deserve it.”

Swift is set to play the 75,000-capacity San Siro on July 14 and 14 next year.
