Sky to offer VIP ticket experiences at new Co-op Live venue

Sky customers will be able to access free tickets and entry to an exclusive VIP lounge at the under-construction Co-op Live venue in Manchester through a new partnership.

The broadcaster’s customers will have exclusive access to a 150-capacity Sky VIP lounge after the group was named official TV entertainment partner. Sky customers can apply for complimentary tickets to the Sky VIP lounge through the My Sky app. Tickets will be issued via a ballot system, which will launch in 2024.

The 23,500-capacity arena is to open in April 2024, with Take That and Eric Clapton among its first performers.

Gary Roden, executive director at Co-op Live, said: “We are thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with Sky. This will deliver unforgettable experiences for Sky customers at Co-op Live.

“We have been working with Sky to create something truly unique for their customers. I can’t wait to step into the Sky VIP lounge.

“Co-op Live promises to be the country’s epicentre of unforgettable experiences. It will set a new standard for live entertainment when it opens next year. This would not be possible without our incredible partners.”

What the Co-op Live deal means for Sky customers

Co-op Live said the lounge will feature a dedicated bar and kitchen as well as other amenities. The lounge, located on level four, will be connected to dedicated seats within the auditorium.

Helen Kloepfer, director of Sky VIP, said: “We’re delighted to launch our next Sky VIP lounge at Co-op Live. This is an incredible new arena that is pushing the boundaries in entertainment. With tickets to the show part of the Sky VIP lounge offering, Sky customers will have the opportunity to see some of the best acts touring the UK whilst experiencing the VIP treatment in the lounge.”

Co-op Live is a joint venture between Oak View Group, City Football Group, pop star Harry Styles and naming partner Co-op. It is located on the Etihad Campus in Manchester, and will host live music, sport, comedy, award shows and family entertainment.

Pet Shop Boys, The Jonas Brothers, James and Barry Manilow are among the acts due to play the venue during its opening season.
