Ashton Gate to host its first multi-artist concert event

Ashton Gate stadium is set to host its first-ever multi-artist concert across two stages, under the moniker 'Ashton Gate Presents BS3'.

The ‘BS3’ is a reference to its Bristol postcode.

Taking place on June 22, the first artists of the 10-strong line-up will be revealed this week, with those interested in attending able to sign up for pre-registration now. Ticket details and hospitality package details will be announced in due course.

The 27,000-capacity Ashton Gate is home to English Championship football club Bristol City and Premiership rugby club Bristol Bears. The stadium has previously hosted numerous major concerts from the likes of Sir Elton John and Arctic Monkeys.

“We have seen such a massive demand for live music in Bristol every time we announce a concert, so we are excited to be taking this new step and promoting our own multi-artist event in what is a first for Ashton Gate,” said Jenny Hutchinson, venue director for the stadium.

“Our team has worked hard to curate this new show for the stadium, which will see 10 incredible artists perform back-to-back hits throughout the day across two stages.”

The hope is to create a regular and popular event on the South West’s music calendar, with a focus on mixing iconic artists, current chart-toppers and rising stars.

“Ashton Gate has hosted world-renowned acts such as Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Elton John, Muse and Spice Girls in recent years and we have fine-tuned our concert operation, teaming up with experts in the industry to ensure we deliver a truly spectacular concert,” continued Hutchinson.

“We are always proud to deliver memorable experiences for our audiences, so we are thrilled to be able to present our own show at the stadium. Ashton Gate Presents BS3 will lay the foundations for us to deliver more multi-artist shows in the future.”
