Premium hospitality experiences leader On Location has appointed Greg Nortman as executive vice president, ticketing and revenue partnerships.
Nortman (pictured left) brings more than 15 years’ experience in live event ticketing and hospitality, most recently as the president of Logitix. Prior to Logitix, Greg worked at PrimeSport (which was acquired by On Location in 2017), Razorgator, and Ticketmaster, where he founded its travel and hospitality business Ticketmaster VIP.
In the new role, Nortman will oversee ticketing inventory, pricing, and distribution, as well as operations, international strategy and business development, fostering and nurturing partnerships with rightsholders, venues and key ticketing entities.
Legends has appointed Tom Funk as president, hospitality for the global premium experiences company.
Funk has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry building and leading high-performing teams focused on innovation and growth.
Legends’ longtime president of hospitality, Dan Smith, will move into a new role as a senior advisor for the business.
Funk said: “I am thrilled and humbled to be joining the incredibly talented team at Legends. I have been very fortunate in my career to work with many of the best in the hospitality and sports & entertainment industry, Dan Smith and the entire Legends organisation sit firmly in that group. They have built an amazing business poised for growth.”
Iaia takes revenue role at AXS
AXS has named former Washington Nationals executive Vito Iaia as chief revenue officer.
Iaia will focus his efforts on the ticketing company’s largest business sector, overseeing all revenue-generating activities in North America, including business development and corporate sponsorships.
Iaia has held key leadership positions across the live entertainment and sports spectrum, most recently as chief business officer of the MLB’s Washington Nationals. Previous roles include SVP of direct-to-consumer at WarnerMedia, CEO of Ticket Web, and SVP of artist services at Live Nation.
Current chief operating officer Juhana Stenbäck (right) is to become chief executive of the Finnish ticketing leader Lippupiste.
Long-standing CEO Ari Palhamo is stepping down at the end of this month and will take up a position on the board of directors.
Stenbäck, a financial expert with 14 years’ experience in ticketing, has been part of the Lippupiste management as COO since 2020. His previous positions included roles at L’Oreal Finland and Deloitte & Touche.
Palhamo became CEO of Lippupiste in 2005, overseeing the company’s takeover by CTS Eventim three years later.
Alexander Ruoff, chief operating officer at CTS Eventim, said: “I’d like to thank Ari for his exceptional collaboration over the past 16 years and for our many shared successes. I’m delighted that he will be staying with us as a member of the board of directors.
“To Juhana, I say congratulations on the promotion. I’m certain that his experience and skills will allow him to successfully continue Ari’s work while also putting his own stamp on the company. I’m looking forward to continuing our collaboration and wish Juhana and his team all the very best.”
Zangari promoted at ICC Sydney
International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has announced the promotion of Michelle Zangari (centre) to the role of senior manager, live events.
Building on her experience as ICC Sydney’s manager, ticketing and bookings in the live events team, Zangari has stepped up to lead the live events segment, looking after the calendar of entertainment events held at the 8,000 seat ICC Sydney Theatre and 2,500 seat Darling Harbour Theatre.
Music community platform We Are Giant has named live music and entertainment executive David Rappaport to its board of directors. The chief operating officer of global touring at AEG Presents will serve as a strategic advisor to We Are Giant Founding CEO Andy Apple and his executive leadership team, lending his expertise on event execution, artist relations, fan amplification, and more.
