People on the move: AXS, Arsenal, and more…

We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

Marc Ruxin (pictured centre) has been appointed as the chief strategy officer of AXS and is set to lead the company’s corporate development opportunities globally in the role.

He will report directly to AXS chief executive Bryan Perez, and takes over from Blaine Legere who took over as president of international late last year.

“Marc’s innate ability to successfully evaluate promising companies, his entrepreneurial prowess, and experience as an innovator and advisor in tech and live entertainment make Marc a great fit as we push our business forward,” said Perez.

“AXS is primed for the next growth stage and Marc will be a key player in our success.”

Premier League club Arsenal has signed a new senior ticketing manager in the form of Georgia Bekyra (pictured left) who joins after three years at Everton.

“I feel incredibly lucky and honoured to have worked for this Club, the People’s Club…an unbelievably rewarding experience that I will always cherish,” Bekyra said, announcing her departure from the Merseyside team.

Founder and former chief executive of ticketing software company Qcue Barry Kahn has embarked on a new adventure to set-up Duael Track which is described as a “new brand of 1-on-1 running competitions”.

Starting this month, he is also serving as a strategic advisor to entertainment provider Endeavor after more than 16 years at the helm of Qcue.

Kahn continued to work on Qcue as part of Endeavor-owned On Location after it acquired the company in July 2021.

Sustainable events company A Greener Future has appointed David Hopkins (pictured right) as its new general manager.

Hopkins succeeds outgoing Scott Graham in the position and brings 20 years of experience from the music, live events, and media sectors to the company.

He has also worked on several sustainability projects and served as a senior assessor for A Greener Future for two years.

“I’m absolutely delighted to join A Greener Future as General Manager, and I’m excited to get stuck in and hit the ground running with this exceptional team and amazing projects,” Hopkins said.

“A Greener Future is an inspiration to me with its commitment to sustainability in music, events and entertainment, combining completely my passions, and I’m looking forward to taking an active and participatory role in the direction and development of the company, certain that we can continue to deliver amazing work and much-needed positive industry change.”

Clayton Hamilton has been hired by Ferve Tickets as its new business development and account manager.

The company offers ticketing solutions for venues and multi-event art festivals.
