Scottish Premiership club Celtic has implemented Ticketmaster’s Virtual Venue technology, allowing fans to digitally view Celtic Park in an immersive 3D form from anywhere, on any device.

Fans will now benefit from a 360-degree view of the entire ground, providing a lifelike view from each seat, anywhere in the 60,000-capacity stadium. The feature makes it easier for Celtic fans to choose a seat before completing their ticket purchase.

“We are always looking for different ways to enhance fan experience and connect with supporters around the world,” said Angela Forbes, head of ticketing at Celtic Football Club.

“With our virtual Celtic Park, fans can immerse themselves in the stadium, regardless of their location. This will not only make finding seats ahead of a matchday easier and more convenient, but it will also enable supporters from anywhere in the world to explore paradise.”

More than 300 teams and venues have integrated the solution since it originally launched at Yankee Stadium, home of Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees.

“Developing Virtual Venue for Celtic Park is another step in elevating the fan experience,” added Chris Gratton, managing director of Ticketmaster Sport. “It’s one of the most popular tools used by our clients to bring a new perspective of the stadium to life.”
