Eventgrid boosts payments services

Eventgrid, the event ticketing and software specialist, has launched new payment services through Square and Spreedly.

Event organisers who collaborate with Eventgrid can now connect with more than 100 PCI-compliant payment gateways and accept Chip, Apple Pay, Android Pay and swiped credit card transactions at the point of sale thanks to the integration with Square.

The New Jersey-based company has integrated with the Square Register API so that customers can use their existing Square hardware to sell tickets and collect payments at the venue.

Eventgrid, which is already integrated with Stripe, Braintree and PayPal, said its integration with Spreedly “opens the door to hundreds of other payment gateways via one universal, user-friendly interface”.

Eventgrid said the developments “speed up cash flow and enable event organisers to grow their businesses even faster”.

“Eventgrid’s goal is to enable event organisers to operate more successful and financially efficient events,” said Niraj Shah, Eventgrid’s chief executive. “Providing organisers with seamless integrations to a wide choice of payment gateways through the ticketing platform is definitely going to improve their cash flow and make their work easier.”

Eventgrid provides its services to conferences, seminars, concerts, tours and festivals. Its suite of tools help organisers with initial announcements, marketing campaigns, registration, ticketing, CRM, and analytics.
