Event technology company Event Genius has partnered with non-league football club Boreham Wood to utilise online ticketing, kiosk and access control services for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
As part of the agreement, fans will be given the chance to pay for cheaper standing or seating tickets in advance, using Apple Pay, Google Pay or their bank card from the club’s online box office, which is provided by Event Genius.
The deal with the Vanarama National League club began with Saturday’s Irn Bru Cup tie against Dunfermline Athletic.
Each e-ticket purchase can be directly downloaded to fans’ smartphones, saved to the Ticket Arena app or printed at home. E-tickets will also feature a unique barcode, which can be authenticated by turnstile staff with a scan to reduce queue and wait times for fans. On-the-door tickets will also be available through a swift and robust kiosk solution.
