Connect&GO unveils MPX wristband for attractions

Theme park and attractions operators can now enhance payments, communications and visitor engagement through a new wristband from Connect&GO.

The MPX facilitates secure cashless purchases, sends push notifications and triggers events based on customer location. The bluetooth-powered device can also manage capacity, optimise access and offer virtual queue management.

The MPX collects information on the customer’s journey in real time and provides data to inform fleet operations and marketing. Teams can discover which attractions are the most popular and which visitor is attracted by which activity.

The MPX, available as a wristband and medallion, also makes it possible to add limited time for each visitor to access a site by making the rechargeable device vibrate and change colours when their booking is up.

Connect&GO said both operators and visitors can benefit from the possibilities presented by the LED light and vibration functions on the device.

“Imagine an electric music festival where all participants see their wristband light up and vibrate to the sound of music,” said Anthony Palermo, co-founder of Connect&GO.

“In addition to its numerous operational features, the MPX wristband can transform the visitor’s experience by synchronising the music and the vibration of the wristband for example, or by signalling the presence of an object during a scavenger hunt by increasing the speed of vibration and light as the visitor approaches the clue. The possibilities are endless: both for events and attractions.”

Connect&GO said the MPX is available for rental and sale and can be offered to all park visitors or provided as a premium offer.

Marc-André Dubé, product manager at Connect&GO, said: “Each year we were receiving dozens of requests from family parks wishing to optimise their access management, which often simply uses an archaic paper wristbands system of different colors which is inefficient and requires significant management for park operators.

“With the MPX wristband, attractions can now optimise capacity management and offer new dynamic packages by the hour with simple management.”
