Bayern Munich has revealed it will freeze its season ticket prices for the fifth consecutive German Bundesliga season.
The cost of a standing season ticket on the southern terrace at the Allianz Arena will remain €140 (£123/$162), with the opportunity to buy tickets for Champions League and DFB Pokal games at reduced prices.
In comparision, tickets for Bayern’s competitor Borussia Dortmund’s “yellow wall” costs €215.
“Football in the Allianz Arena should be available to watch for everyone in our society,” Bayern stated in a letter to season ticket-holders.
The club also said it offered value for exclusive seats, comparing the €750 price of Bayern’s top-tier season ticket with nearly €2,000 at Spanish club Real Madrid.
However, Bayern informed its supporters that prices were set to rise from the season after next, in line with inflation.
