StubHub teams up with Ottawa sports franchises

Online ticket exchange StubHub has agreed a multi-year partnership with Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG), which runs a number of sports franchises in the Canadian capital city.

The agreement names StubHub as the official ticket marketplace for the Ottawa Redblacks Canadian Football League club, the Ottawa 67’s junior ice hockey team, and Ottawa Fury, which plays in the North American Soccer League.

StubHub will also serve as the official ticket marketplace for events at TD Place, the home stadium for the three franchises.

The partnership includes ticketing integration that will benefit supporters of the three sides, as well as marketing and sponsorship rights.

Season ticket-holders will be able to access StubHub as their official secondary ticket marketplace, with a fully-integrated platform to be launched that will allow fans to resell their unused tickets.

“Customer service is at the heart of this partnership and StubHub has the technology and vision to enhance our fans’ ticketing experience, today and in the future,” John Mathers, vice-president of ticket sales and marketing at OSEG, said.
