Ticketek unveils new head of e-commerce

Holly Joshi has been appointed to the newly-created role of head of e-commerce at ticket vendor Ticketek.

Geoff Jones, chief executive of Ticketek parent company TEG, said the appointment represented an important step in building Ticketek’s position in digital optimisation, online customer experience and data-driven marketing.

“Holly brings to the team a wealth of experience across customer journey mapping, web personalisation and optimising digital channels,” Jones said.

“This appointment will drive the continued evolution of our consumer facing channels across web and mobile apps.”

Joshi joins Ticketek from SapientNitro, where she served as senior manager of optimisation and analytics.

Ticketek managing director Cameron Hoy added: “We operate in a rapidly evolving and increasingly competitive marketplace. Holly’s appointment is critical for ensuring that Ticketek remains the best-in-breed from an e-Commerce perspective.”

The appointment has been announced at an interesting time for the ticket vendor, which has become the subject of takeover talk just a year after it was bought for $490m (£379m/€436m). Three global companies have held talks with Affinity Equity Partners about buying TEG, according to reports in Australia last month.
