West End offers 100,000 cut-price tickets

West End theatres are again reaching out to new audiences with more than 100,000 discounted tickets available for productions running in early 2017.

Get Into London Theatre returns for performances taking place between January 1 and February 10, with more than 50 productions offering tickets from £10 to £40.

The promotion, which was first run in 2002, features plays, musicals, dance and opera. ‘School of Rock’ and ‘Motown: The Musical’ are among those offering the discounted tickets.

“Get Into London Theatre means that you can enjoy the best the West End has to offer, at a great price,” said Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London.

“Culture is in the DNA of our city and there’s nowhere on Earth that can rival London for its fantastic theatres. Get Into London Theatre means that you can enjoy the best the West End has to offer, at a great price.

“I’m delighted that over 50 shows are involved this year – from blockbuster musicals to thought-provoking plays, captivating dance performances to entertaining family shows, there’s something for everyone, showing that London is open to all and bursting with creativity and imagination.”
