Ticketron in US Open drive

Ticketron, which is owned by Ticketmaster, has launched a special offer in an attempt to entice tennis fans to purchase tickets for this year’s US Open grand slam tournament in New York.

Ticketron is reducing all US Open ticket prices by up to 10 per cent in an effort to increase sales. It is offering tickets for every day of the tournament, up to and including the men’s final on September 11.

According to Ticketron, other sellers feature service charges that range between 25 and 31 per cent – something it is keen to avoid.

Tickets are available in advance online and can be bought over the phone right up until the start of a particular session, while supplies last.

Ticketron claims to be the “leading source for low-priced tickets” to the event. It has been selling US Open tickets since 1999.
