Kinnick’s first gig hit by ticket delays

Delays in ticket distribution have cast a shadow over the first ever music concert to be staged at Iowa’s vast Kinnick Stadium.

The arena, which holds more than 70,000 spectators and has been the home of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes college American football team for 76 years, will stage the Back Porch Revival country music event on August 27.

Tickets went on sale for online purchase last October, but customers who were told they would receive the tickets in July claim they have still not arrived.

Concert organisers told the KCCI news portal that they would send the tickets by next week.

The Back Porch Revival, which is headlined by Blake Shelton, is a fundraiser for the Native Fund, which supports people affected by natural disasters.
