VenueNext, SeatGeek help Minnesota United go digital

VenueNext has linked up with SeatGeek to build and develop a mobile ticketing app for Major League Soccer club Minnesota United FC’s 2019 season.

The stadium integration platform will use SeatGeek’s technology within the app, making the firm the official ticket provider for Minnesota United.

The move comes as part of the club’s initiative to use 100 per cent digital ticketing for all events at its new home, Allianz Field.

“Our goal with this app is to provide a door-to-door experience for fans that supplements and enhances what we know is going to be a one-of-kind game day atmosphere at Allianz Field,” said MNUFC chief executive Chris Wright.

“Allianz Field will have so much to offer fans and this app is going to be the best way for fans to get easy access to all that it has to offer. We wanted to choose a developer who is forward-thinking, cutting edge and who can accommodate the ever-evolving needs of our fans and partners. We believe VenueNext can deliver all of the support and technology our fans need at the highest level for a complete and fulfilling experience with our club.”

When the app launches in early 2019, fans will be able to access exclusive team content including videos, photo galleries, news and more, and access maps to help with navigating the new stadium.

Anthony Perez, chief executive officer at VenueNext, said: “Our partnership with MNUFC expands our footprint in Major League Soccer and marks our first integration of SeatGeek’s ticketing technology into our platform.

“VenueNext’s platform allows teams to build stronger connections with fans by providing a seamless and dynamic experience, using our rich data and powerful marketing tools. We look forward to the grand opening of Allianz Field and helping MNUFC to deliver a truly mobile-first experience.”
