Major League Baseball has revealed its eye-watering ticket prices for the league’s inaugural games in the UK.
Top-priced seats for the game between the New York Yankees and World Series champion the Boston Red Sox on June 29 and 30 at London’s Olympic Stadium will cost £385 ($493/€434). The cost of non-premium seats near the infield will set fans back £320.
According to a chart on Ticketmaster’s website, outfield corner seats will be between £220-£270, with the seat behind the outfield fences going for £120.
Tickets in the second deck cost £270, £170, £145, £120, £80, £45 and £30.
A presale for Yankees and Red Sox season ticket holders kicked off today (Friday), and a presale for those who have pre-registered begins on Monday. The general on-sale date is December 6.
Prices for the games between New York and Boston at Yankee Stadium in April range from $550 to $45, according to the team’s website, with premium seats costing more.
